The G•13 Standard:

Inspired by global leadership summits such as the G7 and G20, G•13 represents a new class of leadership—one centered on cultural literacy, historical truth, and generational legacy.
While traditional summits convene world powers to discuss economics and policy, the G•13 LC (Legacy Conference) convenes emerging leaders to shape identity, legacy, and impact.
The G•13 MJUSA Legacy & Leadership Conference brings together youth, educators, cultural leaders, and advocates to cultivate leadership rooted in knowledge of self, community, and commemoration—preparing the next generation to lead with confidence, clarity, and purpose.
A National Convening Advancing Cultural Literacy, Leadership, and Purpose

The Evolution of
Excellence
CULTURE • COMMEMORATION • CROWN
The G•13 MJUSA Legacy & Leadership Conference reflects the natural evolution of the Miss Juneteenth USA program—growing from a traditional competition to a cultural commemoration rooted in education, identity, and purpose.
What began as a space to honor Juneteenth has now expanded into a broader, more authentic framework: equipping youth with cultural literacy, leadership skills, and the confidence to understand their place within the story they inherit.
This evolution exists to honor the full journey toward freedom—from enslavement, to emancipation, to the unfinished work of understanding what freedom requires. The G•13 Conference convenes young people not simply to recognize history, but to stand within it—grounded in the knowledge of what was endured, what was achieved, and what must now be carried forward. In this space, leadership is shaped by memory, responsibility, and a shared commitment to stewarding the “Story of Us” into the future.

What to Expect:
The G•13 MJUSA Legacy & Leadership Conference is a multi-day national convening designed to immerse participants in cultural literacy, leadership formation, and collective commemoration. Across guided experiences, shared dialogue, and symbolic moments, attendees engage the full arc of the African American journey—from origins and emancipation to responsibility and legacy—while preparing to carry that understanding forward in their own lives and communities.
Together, these experiences form a shared journey—grounding participants in history while preparing them to lead with clarity, confidence, and cultural responsibility.
The G•13 Experience:
The Legacy Continuum
The Legacy Continuum means our story didn’t start at one moment and it doesn’t end at one moment. It’s the ongoing journey of where we came from, what we endured, what was achieved, and what we now carry forward.
The G-13 Legacy & Leadership Conference is intentionally designed as a layered experience—combining cultural immersion, leadership formation, national commemoration, and symbolic moments that cannot be replicated outside of this space.
Rather than following a traditional conference formula, this culturally rooted experience unfolds through guided encounters with history, dialogue, responsibility, and legacy—allowing participants to engage the journey fully, without fragmentation.
